By today, January 15, the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department will have to complete the payments of the second Stimulus check on the bank accounts and mailboxes of the beneficiaries. In this article we will give all the useful information on the second $600 Stimulus check coming up these days.
Am I entitled to the check?
Not everyone has to expect the Second Stimulus Check, that will cover up to $600 per adult and $600 per qualifying child under age 17. Here are the requirements to be considered legitimate recipients of U.S. Treasury financial support.
Single Filers with an AGI of less than $75.000; if they earn more, IRS will reduce the disbursement by $ 5 for every $ 100 of income, before expiring at $ 87,000.
Married couples whose AGIs is under $150,000 are eligible for a full $1,200 stimulus payment; if they earn more, the payment shrinks by $5 for every $100 of income, before expiring at $174,000.
Heads of household with an AGI of less than $112,500; if they earn more, the payment shrinks by $5 for every $100 of income, before expiring at $124,500.
Haven’t received your payment yet?
Since unfortunately there have been many hitches in the disbursement of funds, remember that there are 2 tools to verify the tracking of the payment of checks by the IRS.
The first method is the “Get My Payment” tool, made available by the IRS thanks to an online App, where you can know how the sum of $ 600 will arrive, if there have been any stops in delivery and when your check will be sent. The second method, dedicated to people who receive physical checks and EIP cards, is to sign up for a free USPS service, which will be able to monitor your mail and notify you when the money will arrive.
What if the check doesn’t arrive by the deadline of January 15th? Don’t worry, if the check you are entitled to is delayed by a few days, you will have to request it when declaring your 2020 taxes for the year 2021; do not delay too long, otherwise it will take longer for the second check.
